Policies
Check-In
Check-in is available from 3:00pm.
If you arrive earlier than 3:00pm, you are welcome to leave your luggage at reception while you explore the town or wait for your room to be ready.
Self Check-In
Reception closes at 7:00pm daily. Guests arriving after this time will require self check-in instructions. Please inform us prior to arrival if you will need self check-in details.
Check-Out
Check-out is before 11:00am.
Late check-out may be available upon request and is charged at £20 per hour. Please confirm any late check-out arrangements with reception in advance.
Reception
Reception is staffed daily from 7:00am–7:00pm, and until 6:00pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Opening hours may vary.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served daily:
Monday–Friday: 7:00am–10:00am
Saturday & Sunday: 8:00am–10:00am
Please check your booking confirmation to confirm whether your reservation is on a “Room Only” or “Bed & Breakfast” basis.
Our breakfast offering includes both continental selections and an à la carte menu. Guests will be asked to select a preferred breakfast time upon check-in.
Card Policy
Guests are required to provide valid payment card details at check-in. These details will be securely stored for the duration of the stay and deleted 48 hours after check-out.

Damages
This policy supports the hotel’s honesty bar and security procedures and is outlined in your booking confirmation. Failure to provide valid card details may result in the reservation being refused without refund.
Bedding
Our bedding contains duck feather materials. If you have any allergies or alternative bedding requirements, please inform us at least 48 hours prior to arrival so we can accommodate your needs where possible.
Lost Keys
A £25 replacement charge may apply for any room keys not returned upon check-out.
Cancellation Policy
Flexible Rates
Selected rates include a 72-hour free cancellation policy.
Where applicable, cancellations must be submitted online at least 72 hours prior to 2:00pm on the scheduled check-in date to avoid charges.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival will be charged the full reservation amount.
Group Bookings
For bookings of more than 5 rooms, cancellations are free up to 7 days prior to arrival.

Darwin’s Townhouse is strictly non-smoking throughout.
Smoking in guest rooms will activate the fire alarm system and will result in a £250 deep-cleaning charge applied to the registered payment card.
Housekeeping
Daily housekeeping is available until 3:00pm.
If you do not wish to receive housekeeping service, please place the “Do Not Disturb” sign outside your room.
Pets
Pets are permitted by prior request in our designated pet-friendly room only.
A charge of £25 per pet applies. Please note that dogs are not permitted in the main house or breakfast room.
Damages
Guests may be held responsible for any damage caused to hotel property during their stay.
Noise Policy
We kindly ask guests to keep noise to a minimum after 11:00pm.
Guests responsible for excessive noise or disruption may be liable for any associated charges resulting from complaints or disturbances.
